Spring Mill Pond is a small swimming area in Island Lake State Recreation Area. It is approximately 18 miles west from Motor City Scuba and Snorkel. This is a popular dive spot because of its convenient location, easy water entry and no boat traffic. Underwater attractions include several platforms, a snowmobile (every body of water in Michigan seems to have one), a sunken pedal boat and friendly marine life.

White Star Park in Sandusky County Ohio, is an 800-acre park located near Gibsonburg, Ohio. White Star Quarry is a 15-acre man-made lake with an average depth of 40ft with the center of the quarry approaching 50ft. There are two deeper spots, one near the wall close to the main diving entrance (60 ft) and the other at the bottom of a stone crusher (75ft). The Quarry has many underwater attractions and the visibility is typically very good compared to other inland waters.
