Helitrox Deco Procedures
Go Beyond the Limits
- The Decompression Procedures course qualifies divers to engage in dives with decompression obligations, not exceeding a maximum depth of 150 feet and using up to 100% oxygen to manage staged decompression.
- The Helitrox course train divers how to plan and conduct a standard staged decompression dive not exceeding a maximum depth of 150 feet utilizing back gas with Helium no greater than 35% and an oxygen content of at least 21%.
This course combination is required to continue on to TDI Trimix Extended Range with Motor City Scuba. This class is geared towards Great Lakes diving and the requirements will reflect that,
Helitrox Deco Procedures Prerequisites:
- Minimum age 18
- Certified as a TDI Intro to Tec
- Certified as a TDI Advanced Nitrox Diver
- Certified as a SDI Advanced Diver
- Certified as a SDI Deep Diver
- Provide proof of a minimum 60 logged dives
- Complete the Medical Questionnaire*
- Provide proof of dive accident insurance (e.g. DAN Master-level insurance or higher)

Qualifications of Graduates:
Upon successful completion of the course, the diver will be able to utilize back-gas containing Helitrox (limited Trimix: max 35% He and min 21% O2) with one deco bottle with up to 100% oxygen and dive to a depth of 150ft with decompression obligations.

Course prices do not include gas, charter fees or quarry fees.
*Scuba diving requires a minimum level of health and fitness. Chronic health conditions, certain medications and/or recent surgery may require you to get written approval from a medical professional before diving.
