Air Fill Station Operator
This course is designed to promote safety in the filling of high-pressure scuba cylinders. The Fill Station Operator (FSO) program is intended to meet and exceed the minimum standards established by the Code of Federal Regulations.
In addition, it is intended to allow candidates to competently and safely fill scuba cylinders with air from a fill station or compressor. The objective of this course is to train candidates in the safe handling, filling and external inspection techniques, including the identification of the various defective conditions that can lead to cylinder rejection, equipment requirements and hazards in filling cylinders with high pressure air for recreational scuba.
Qualifications of Graduates
Upon successful completion of this course graduates may handle, transport, externally inspect and fill high-pressure scuba cylinders with air for recreational diving.
