To enroll in this course, you must:

  • Complete the Medical Questionnaire*
  • Have guardian’s active participation if 6-15 years of age
  • Be accompanied by a parent/guardian for all training if under age 16
  • Have written parent/guardian approval if under age 18

 

 

Snorkeling is the use of mask, fins and snorkel to primarily swim on the surface while being able to keep your face in the water without having to lift your head to breathe. Periodically you may dive below the surface for a short period of time to exam something closer.


*Snorkeling requires a minimum level of health and fitness. Chronic health conditions, certain medications and/or recent surgery may require you to get written approval from a medical professional before diving.

Avoid disappointment, download and review the Medical Questionnaire to ensure you won’t need a physician’s approval to dive before starting your course. Instructors, Divemasters and the staff at Motor City Scuba are not physicians and should not be asked for medical advice; only medical professionals can give medical clearance to dive.
