The FRTI Oxygen Administration Course
Be ready to help a fellow diver should the need arise by becoming a First Response Training International Emergency Oxygen Provider.
Breathe easy knowing that you know how to recognize conditions treatable with emergency oxygen. Being the best buddy you can be means being prepared—especially in a time of need. This course is intended to teach emergency oxygen (O2) administration. This program covers equipment and procedures for administrating oxygen as an emergency procedure. Equipment selection and use for decompression illness emergencies are detailed with practical components to train a well rounded rescuer.
Course prerequisites
- Minimum age 18, 10 with parental consent
What’s in it for you:
Upon successful completion of the course, graduates may:
- Recognize and evaluate an emergency and a victim
- Know how to activate or alert the emergency medical services (EMS)
- Be able to administer O2 to a breathing or non-breathing person
- OSHA and ILCOR compliant training

Scuba certification and scuba gear is not necessary to take this course. This course is combined with our Rescue Diver course and our Rescue Review program - but it is open for any level diver or non-diver.
