Take the SDI Wreck Diver course with Motor City Scuba
Explore the mysterious depths and uncover history's untold stories through wreck diving. Wreck diving can be one of the most exciting aspects of sport diving, however every effort must be made to maximize safe diving techniques. The SDI Wreck Diver Course will discuss the equipment and techniques commonly employed while wreck diving.
Course prerequisites:
- SDI Open Water Scuba Diver, or equivalent
- SDI Advanced Adventure Diver, or equivalent
- Minimum age 18 years, 12 if accompanied by a parent/guardian for all training.
- Complete the Medical Questionnaire*
What’s in it for you?
Upon successful completion of this course graduates may:
- Dive wrecks that are similar to the type of wrecks they were exposed to during training
- Plan and execute a wreck dive
- Learn more about mapping wrecks
- Explore underwater history
- Qualify to take the Wreck Limited Penetration course with Motor City Scuba.

You will learn about the importance of Shipwrecks, Why the Great Lakes has the best shipwreck diving in the world and gain some insight and history regarding the wrecks you will be diving. *Scuba diving requires a minimum level of health and fitness. Chronic health conditions, medications and/or recent surgery may require you to get written approval from a physician before diving.
